Newspaper Article
Today I am finishing off my website and on one of the pages I felt it needed something more on it as it was looking rather empty and dull. I decided I would make a newspaper article about Lola Leyland and post it on there.
I used a website that allows you to make newspapers and wrote a quick article about a gig of Lola Leyland's. I made the newspaper be one that focuses on music promotion as that is obviously the most relavent for this.

The final product looked like this:
I just thought this would be a nice addition to the website and general promotion of Lola Leyland's music.

Website - Merchandise Shop
My findings of my musician website research and general knowledge has concluded to me the vitality of merchandise for almost every type of media product (bands/singers, films, TV shows, video games, etc) in promoting and 'selling' (generating profit) that media product. Therefore, on Wix, I have produced a merchandise shop.
In order to do this I used a website to design my own Lola Leyland merchandise. The website I used was http://www.zazzle.co.uk/cr/design/pt-zazzle_shirt where I uploaded photos from the music video and used a variety of colours to produce a selection of Lola Leyland T-shirts.
After I had made my range of T-shirts I created the store on Wix.

Here I uploaded various photos onto the T-shirt. |

As you can see I have included all the conventions of an online store, size info, prices, a 'basket' and 'checkout'. It is very straightforward to use because I know for a fact that if it was too complicated to use it would turn potential customers away from spending there money - the last thing the musician wants!

This is the homepage of the site (so far) |

This is the info page, most musicians include some form of info about themselves so I thought I should do the same with Lola Leyland. |

This is the 'Tour' page - where fans can purchase tickets to upcoming gigs, etc... |

I have created an online store where fans can purchase merchandise - this is an important part of the website. |
Here are some of the designs of the digipak I have made using online software. I am still undecided on what I want my final digipak to look like...

This could be the front cover. |
